And our guest facilitator, WonderWit, wants to open the discussion with:

Which civilization could or would produce a better (more interesting or what have you) culture?

One that is more introverted (the civilization, not the individual people) or more extroverted (just the city itself, not the individual people) ? Ideas to consider: political outcomes, cultural acceptances and taboos, differences, environmental effects, the people?

WW is right--stars in the solar system . . .it's the crowning achievement to actually get a star named after you, right? Perhaps I could just create a mural of constellations--and then make one for each of you as you graduate! Then we could have the mythology attached to the constellations, and people could sing the stories and then artists could illustrate them, and others could write music to be listened to as the mural was viewed, and then . . .and then, the caffeine might wear off! Or maybe that's what next year's Humanities class will do!

But, honestly. . .someone asked me today if I enjoyed teaching this class. How could anyone not enjoy teaching the class where people seek refuge from stampeding rhinos, and where we actually discuss cinematography and politics and heresy and madness in the same conversation, and where there's room for someone to love squishing paint around between their fingers or listening to some of the best guitarists ever (or opera!!!)!?

Did I say thank you?

And, I guess I get to be exempt, because in order to be remembered, you actually have to go away!!

Okay, that's a copout, Zach's right.

But, I'm still not really answering, because I don't want to be remembered just one way to everyone, but in a certain individual way to each one, and that would take up the whole Blogspot, I think!
